The weather has finally changed and the cold weather has really set in now. Here are some new warmer fashion items that have been added to my wardrobe for AW21.
I don’t think we can complain about the weather of late. Chillier yes, but it’s been lovely and bright and I don’t mind that at all. It will keep the S.A.D. at bay and won’t seem to last as long as it normally does. I hate the early dark nights!
I’ve been really pleased with this cream v neck jumper purchased from Karen Millen recently. Now Karen Millen can be a bit pricey in my book. I was a huge fan years ago when yes, it was still expensive but you got what you paid for. Impeccable tailoring and designs. It’s not the same now. I love a lot of the designs but the quality isn’t there to match the price.
This jumper however was an absolute bargain. And there are some good bargains to be had on the Karen Millen website. I purchased this from the petite section but it is in no way petite. The sleeves are way too long but I do like that the v is higher. It’s good quality and I got it for just under nineteen pounds.
Often new fashion items are cut down in price with codes on the Karen Millen website, Plus if you sign up for emails you get a further discount, so it’s worth keeping an eye on. And then I would say then it’s really worth the price. Cream always fits in any wardrobe and I’ve been wearing this jumper a lot. Styled here with bargain HM trousers. I have these trousers in four different colours now. They’re a great wardrobe staple.
The ankle boots are a new addition and I’m over the moon with these ones from Pavers. The leather is really high quality and I think they’re a really smart stylish boot. A perfect height heel, they look great with a long dress too.

A perfect denim dress
I’ve always been partial to a denim dress. They never date, do they? I have a couple of denim dresses but they are a fine softer denim, more of the summer variety. When I spotted this one on the Cotton Traders website I knew it would be a perfect staple to have in my wardrobe.
What really pleases me about this dress is that it has the no-peep extra hidden buttons. I wish more retailers would use this idea. I’ve had many items, dresses and blouses and some quite pricy items that have buttons literally an inch apart. There’s nothing worse than a gaping dress or blouse.
This denim dress has all the right trimmings. Pockets, silver hardware and I like the seam detailing to the top half. It’s very well made and I’m over the moon with it.

I’m sharing a really good new to me brand with you.
Saint And Sofia came onto my radar via Instagram. quite an edgy new fashion brand for me, but there are some gorgeous items on their website. The cable jumper that I’ve chosen is really soft and snuggly. It feels gorgeous on and I like how much detail is within the jumper. The same cable pattern follows down the sleeves and it follows suit round the back too. I hate it when intricate patterns like this are only to the front of jumpers and not the back. This one is a bonus.
You can see the thickness of the jumper clearer in this photo. I love the colour too. It will be worn a lot! These photos were taken on a really brisk cold morning but no jacket was required. Have you bought from the Saint And Sofia Brand before? It really is a brand worth looking at.
I’m also wearing the Runway black trousers. A straight leg I’d say, between a legging and trousers. made from Ponti di Roma, like a good quality heavy jersey. Extra smart leggings if you like! I was pleased to find that you have length choices on the Saint and Sofia website. I’ve chosen a slightly shorter length than normal so that I can wear flat shoes too.

One item I can’t recommend enough
I debated on adding this look. Not really a winter style is it? Taken at the end of October, everyone was talking about how mild the weather was and I wasn’t complaining either!
But. I do think the shirt and jeans are worth a mention. I purchased my first oversized shirt from H&M earlier in the year. (See this post for a different colour) I wore it so much I bought another colour.
You can do so much with these shirts and they are cheap as chips. Tuck them in, tie them at the front like in the above photo or belt them. I’m on the lookout for a couple of knitted tank tops and I think these shirts will be perfect for wearing underneath them.
I struggled to find flattering mom jeans but these ones from H&M are my favourite choice so far. If you’re thinking about trying this style then I recommend H&M as a good starting point to try them. I find it hard to believe I’m still wearing sandals here!

Not a Winter fashion item but a feel good factor
I was recently sent some lovely silk Pyjamas from a brand called Laloras. Now I know they are not necessarily a winter wearing piece of clothing but add a long cardigan and fluffy socks and you feel heavenly!
