Lifestyle change – Spilling the tea

Hello everyone. It’s been quite some time hasn’t it? While I’ve been away I’ve had a complete lifestyle change!

A marriage breakdown ( really broken, and not the easiest of splits ) I will speak about that more in future posts. A new relationship that I never saw coming, and a move to one of the most beautiful spots in the UK, which is Suffolk.

My new life is completely different, healthier, more active happy and at peace. I look forward to sharing so much with you all.

I’ve been concentrating on my YouTube and I’ve had many problems with my website which have now been sorted thank goodness. At one point everything just became too much and something had to give.

I’m back now, though, and I look forward to sharing my lifestyle, fashion, and everything that makes me happy.

Let’s start by sharing some of my most worn outfits from mid-to late summer. I know we’re heading into colder months, so I will explain how I will be switching up these outfits to pair with them.

Let’s start with sharing some outfits and new lifestyle choices

The Denim jacket I never knew I needed! and the dress has been worn so much. I’m just about to retrieve it from the stored-away items for the colder months. I don’t wear such high heels nowadays mind! so inappropriate for the country lanes that I walk down on a daily basis.

I will swap sandals for knee-high boots and wear a full slip under the dress for extra warmth. The Denim Jacket just pairs with everything. I will continue to wear it with jumpers now. I love the fit of this jacket and the fact that it has a lot of stretch in it, makes it so easy and comfortable to wear.

I would normally pair the dress with a blazer for my older city-girl looks but a denim jacket is the item for making all your dresses less formal.

The split-front denim skirt is still trending. Just swap with boots

The split-front denim skirt was a huge trend this year. I found it really hard to find the right one for me. Splits right to the top really didn’t appeal to me, and a lot of shopping online brought me to the one above in Marks And Spencer.

I really liked the cream colour, and I’m tempted to try the skirt that’s still available in a dark wash denim. I’ve paired the skirt with one of my favourite shirts from Artichoke in a fantastic Liberty print. Sarah at Artichoke has these shirts specially made for her brand, and I love them. Plus you won’t find them anywhere else, and I like the idea of having something exclusive!

A thermal camisole becomes my best friend in the colder months for extra warmth. A jumper or cardigan draped over my shoulders or paired together will keep me super warm. Again, I will swap the sandals for knee-high boots.

I love silk, even in the winter months. The shirt is one of my most worn items from the brand Lilysilk. The neutral colour of the shirt pairs so easily with most colours. I’ve styled it here, paired down with jeans for a more casual look, but it looks fantastic dressed up with a pair of good-tailored black or cream trousers.

I’ve styled this shirt many times throughout the seasons. Underneath, a camisole, a T-shirt, and even a cream polo neck look good, and keep you toastie. The jeans are my favourites from Marks And Spencer. I wear them all year round, just swapping sandals for boots/shoes and warmer cosy jumpers.

There’s something about cream tones that look so much more elevated. Jeans or trousers. These are staple items in my wardrobe that I wear so much.

My favourite shirt of 2024! This is the new print for the Tallulah shirt at Artichoke. I love the mix of colours; it pairs perfectly with black, grey, or red ( There are tiny hints of red in the material ). As I said above, I just love these shirts. They’re super comfortable and different from anything on the high street.

The Black Jeggings from H&M were a pleasant surprise for me. I ordered them online and when they arrived I found the quality remarkable. The Jeggings are more like a tailored pair of skinny trousers. The quality of the material is fantastic, quite heavier than most Jeggings/Leggings and they really give a good hug to the body. A seam at the legs and patch pockets really elevate what is normally a pair of bog-standard daily scruffs pair of Leggings. I recommend!

Feeling like the lady of the manor!

Ok, not so much of an outfit, but I do think that what you wear leisurely is just as important as what you wear any other time of the day, This dressing gown by Velvet Thread London really gave a feel-good factor through the warmer months. There’s nothing better than having your morning cuppa in the garden wearing something that’s lovely to start the day in.

I wanted to give this robe a mention for any of you who might have a warm-weather holiday booked or I also thought what a great gift it would make. I have a discount code for the brand as well, and talking of discount codes, I will be posting a little directory of all my discount codes very soon, so please hit the subscribe button.

So nice to hear about your new life in the country! I wondered where you had gone. I like the changes to your wardrobe! Now we will get to see you in more relaxed clothing! (I think your city wardrobe did not appeal to me since I am retired and live in Florida where everyone dresses rather casually!) I love reading about England. I hope to visit someday. I have already been to Ireland since I am Irish, but England is on my bucket list. We plan to visit there before we do a European cruise next year. I look forward to hearing about your new country life in your new posts!
