The last quarter of the year is upon us already. Soon we will be sporting our winter fashions. This last month, choosing photos to edit into this post, I didn’t realise how much pink had been worn. I obviously like it more than I realised. A barely-there summer helped my choice I think. White just didn’t feel right to wear in the non-existent sunshine.
I filmed a Dorothy Perkins haul a few weeks back and this outfit was my favourite out of what I had ordered. Dorothy Perkins was a store I always liked to browse in and now it’s only available online I had simply forgotten about the brand. It also went down well with my subscribers over on YouTube. I love the shirt. Currently priced at £9.99 The green stripe will pair with my sage trousers too.
The trousers fit well and I like that they aren’t too high-waisted like a lot of trousers at the moment. Anyone else not liking high-waisted jeans/trousers? Both the trousers and shirt were super affordable and of good quality.
The bag is an absolute steal. Made from good quality leather, I was really pleased with this from The Jewellery Channel. A brand I have worked with recently and It amazes me the bargains you can find on the website. The bag is priced at £44.99 and I think that’s a great price for leather. It’s available in other colours too.

The wedding guest outfit. Even that has pink in it!
As promised in last week’s staycation post. Here’s what I wore to the wedding. The dress from Roman Originals has been in my wardrobe for a couple of years and I have waited that long to have the opportunity to wear it. And surprisingly it’s still available on the Roman website. I think we paired up well don’t you? A reluctant camera-shy Dee here. I was surprised that she agreed to have her photo done in such busy surroundings!
The dress was first worn at Ascott ladies day. An event I attended with Roman Originals. It was such a beautiful day, and I was blessed again that the sun decided to grace us with its presence on the wedding day too. It was supposed to rain all day. The bride was truly blessed!
The Royal Ascot post shows the dress worn with a light Bolero. I really love this dress and I think it’s a perfect wedding guest outfit. It’s available in other colours but I love blue and pink. A shame that it’s only been worn twice due to covid.
Another pink outfit but in more of blush pink. The blouse was a favourite last year that barely got worn because we didn’t go out anywhere. My last purchase from TopShop too! I have spotted a blouse in the exact material from River Island. It’s such a pretty material and the only Broderie kind that I own.
The trousers are originally from Eastex. Another brand that’s gone. Their clothing was great and Eastex trousers always fitted so well. I’ve added a pair on sale from Reiss the brand I always look at for good tailoring. You can’t beat a Reiss sale! And again the bargain bag from TJC.

Perfect to wear around the house not just for the beach
I was kindly gifted this beach cover-up from Fantasie Lingerie. No holiday as such for me this year but I’ve worn it loads lounging around the house. I like the deep frill edging and the sleeves are three-quarter length, so it’s super easy to wear around the house.
I do love a good bit of loungewear. This was me taking photos of my prize Hostas. I often sit in the garden with my morning cuppa and I’m always sharing garden up-dates on my Instagram They have been gigantic this year!

pastel colours. The lounge wear in navy is pretty and I think navy is more forgiving than harsh black as we get older.
You say you are 5ft 2ins and a size 10. I am 5ft 2ins but 10 st and carry my weight on tummy and boobs , what is your weight Laurie as I would love to get this weight off , I was 9st for years on end but lockdown
I put on shock horror a stone and hate it.
Do you have a particular diet you stick to and would you share it with us readers . and or any exercise
routine you stick to.
Lockdown has a lot to answer for , grim .
