I just love linen during the summer months. I will be able to create some good classic outfits with the three items I’m sharing here today. I’m gradually collecting items that are either full linen or of linen mixed fabrics. I love the texture, how cool it is to wear and versatile it is.
Outfit one. Down on the seafront
With the beautiful weather, we’ve been driving down to Southend seafront in the mornings for breakfast. It’s lovely watching the tide come in and people watching sitting outside alfresco. I wish it could be like this all year!
I love classic outfits consisting of a pair of linen trousers for the summer months. All the outfits here are from Bonmarche. A brilliant place to shop for linen items during the summer months. You can buy this style of linen trouser from most shops but I like that you can choose the leg length from Bonmarche, plus the price point and quality are good.
Just look at that sky! And the freedom to sit in the cafe’s is just the icing on the cake! Wev’e waited so long for good weather this year and I want to soak every bit of it up.
The simple classic linen-blend jacket is a brilliant item that’s going to go with so much in my wardrobe. A simple white T-shirt and white and tan accessories complete the look. I’m always barking about the good quality of Bonmarche T-shirts. Cheap as you like and far better quality than others you will pay the same price for.

no.2 of three classic outfits. A quick trip to London
A quick stay in London. Down by the river Thames or The pond as I call it. You can find out why here! Haha. The same classic linen mix jacket this time in Navy, but with a dress. The dress is by Honor Millburn. Bonmarche have added some good brands to their own website of late. Including Izabel London. Another of my favourites.
I really like the print on the dress. Lots of colours to work with in there. White, navy, pink and peachy tones. It’s a really simple style of dress, easy to wear, doesn’t crease at all and comfortable to wear.
The jacket is unlined, so it’s lightweight and comfortable. I think these jackets will pair well with jeans too. It’s a really versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. I will be creating many classic outfits with them. brilliant price too. If you buy one, you get the the other colour half price.

French chic. Navy and white
The final of three classic outfits. you can’t get a more classic looks than the Parisian Breton can you? The same linen trousers but this time in white. I have the same trousers in a shorter leg length to wear with flat sandals. I’ve had them for years and wear them so much.
The classic Breton has a keyhole neckline and three-quarter-length sleeves. Bonmarche release different versions of this T-shirt each year in different materials. This is the third one I have now, the last one I featured in a lockdown post last year. Worth looking at if you’re interested in what Bonmarche jeans are like.
with our British weather being so unpredictable this year I think the two jackets will be a great cover-up over my summer items. Check out the large sunnies! These are prescription sunglasses from Good Lookers and I love them. It’s good to find a website that sells prescription sunnies and reading glasses that are a little different from the average at a reasonable price.
I’d love to hear which outfit is your favourite. And I’d like to know if you have shopped at Bonmarche before and what your thoughts are about the brand. I always find that it’s the Bonmarche items I reach for on a daily wear basis and I love their jeans. I live in the Julie Jeggings that I’ve had a few years now. So yes. It’s a brand I recommend you look at.

I love the dress and have many similar, however a bit of weight gain after stopping smoking requires some attention. I love the trousers in both photos but really struggle with the ties, again with the weight gain. Thanks for sharing with #pocolo

I love the look of linen trousers and jackets for Summer, but I’m not a fan of the wrinkling! Three gorgeous classic outfits, though, but I’m especially loving the blue jacket worn over that fabulous dress. xxx
