At last some sunshine! And perfect timing for all of us in the UK to have some escapism. Seeing family and being able to go shopping is the icing on top! It’s weird seeing my home town come back to life again. Everything seems overly busy, it’s most probably not any busier than it was before lockdown but we’re so used to everything being so quiet aren’t we? Going into town was actually a little overwhelming. How have you felt about it?
I’m sharing my first SS21 outfit from Baukjen with you this week. A Sunshine yellow T-shirt and Their famous cult jeans The Girlfriend jeans. I must say it’s lovely to be out again taking photos and not being so restricted as to where I can take them. I will soon be scouring or somewhere quiet again I think!
A sunshine yellow T-shirt to pair with jeans or shorts
As soon as I spotted this Sunshine T-shirt on the Baukjen website, the cheerful colour just called out to me. It’s already been featured in Grazia and Glamour magazine. In fact looking at items online, a lot of items are being loved by the press and rightly so. The SS21 collection is just beautiful, there are some gorgeous floral items just come into stock too.
Don’t forget I have a 15% discount code for full-priced items at Baukjen

Called the Sonny T-shirt, it was launched to celebrate International Women’s Day. For every T-shirt sold Baukjen is donating £20 to Change A Girls Life campaign in collaboration with the Prince’s Trust. One of the reasons that I love the Baukjen brand is for all the charitable donations that they run. Throughout the lockdown, they have and still are doing some great things for the NHS workers too.
I’ve paired the T-shirt with the Baukjen Girlfriend jeans. I love the cut of them, not too high waisted like a lot of the mom jeans. Really comfortable and made from proper denim with a slight stretch. They are a little pricier than some on the high st but you certainly get your monies worth. The Issey summer dress that I featured last year is just waiting for those temperatures to rise a little and I look forward to wearing that. It’s one of my favourite summer dresses and still available.
And I’m all set to go with the summer accessories! The straw basket is out as are my sandals. All I need now is a pedicure when some salon can fit me in. They are all fully booked for the next couple of week’s in my town. It’s all gone crazy!
Espadrilles have to be one of my favourite choice of footwear in the summer months. I have a blue pair and a pink pair. The pair above from Office cost me £50 last year. I love them and thought I was onto a good bargain when I found them. The Castaner espadrilles that you see all the fashionistas wearing at £100 are identical. But when I found the same pair in New Look for £25 I was more than pleased. They are available in lots of colours again this year and I really recommend them.
Isn’t everything just that little more rosier when the sun shines. Here’s to sunny longer days, meeting friends and family and more freedom!

Such a sweet and comfy summer look – love that colour on you and the espadrilles are perfect! How great is it to be getting out and about again? So good and such a long time coming – although you’re right, it definitely feels strange to be amongst it again!
Weather here has been between gorgeous and hideously rainy … weird.

The t shirt is great, I love the subtle hues and the charity donation. I left the UK as everyone came out of lockdown so have yet to experience how the uk is operating. #pocolo

I am now the sun is shining again Thank you Michelle xx
I’m glad to hear that the sun finally came out, just in time to celebrate the end of lockdown for you. Things are a little bit different here in Belgium. Our non-essential shops have just re-opened after a month of being open on appointment only. Still, I generally find it overwhelming to go into town or to any other busy place. I think that will remain with some of us even post-Covid! The Sunshine yellow t-shirt is very cheerful and I’m loving the straw bag and espadrille wedge sandals, which is among my favourite footwear for Summer! xxx
