Here we are at the end of 2020. And what a year it’s been. I’m not going to talk about how depressing it’s all been, instead I’m looking forward and trying to stay positive that we are at the worst point and soon, a turning point where we will start to see a glimmer of hope that normality will soon return. Staying in, just the two of us, I had decided a while back that I was going to glam myself up to see the new year in.
I have had a very long pamper day, it felt good I must say. It’s easy to let everything slip isn’t it when you barely leave the house? But I won’t be beaten. I’m starting this celebration as glam and comfortable possible.
I found an outfit that’s glam but I could add slippers if I wish too!
I spotted this off the shoulder top on the Baukjen website and I knew it would be comfortable to wear. Paired with palazzo trousers that I actually wore last new years eve celebrating with friends.
I figured this outfit would be glam enough to see the new year in either in heels or I could be wearing my slippers curled up in my chair watching tv! Dee has an idea that we are going to dance and she is going to teach me how to jive! I hope I’m not sporting any injuries on my socials new years day!
Either way, I know that I will look forward to wearing this top out somewhere. I think it will pair up well with many items. I like how it’s paired with leather trousers on the website.

Having a play with black
I don’t know why but I decided to have a play adding some black into my wardrobe. Browsing too much Instagram! I love black on other women but I used to think it makes me look a bit washed out.
Maybe ageing has changed my colouring or something because I actually quite like it now, hence the new top in the first photo. When I spotted this knitted dress from Phase Eight it stood out to me because it’s not super clingy and I like the flared skirt on it.
The weight of the dress makes it really flattering and I’m so glad that I bought it. Now on sale but I will say that I did size up in this dress. I’m wearing a size 12.
The bag strap was an interesting find from The Jewellery Channel. A brand I’m currently working with. I thought it was a great way of updating your handbag. These are very on trend at the moment and it was a cheap way of updating.

A big hug for the cold weather!
Delivering presents on doorsteps, not being able to hug Merry Christmas struck a chord with me. It was tough not being able to see the grandchildren and my children I ended up with a fold-up chair in the boot of my car and I’d plant it on their drive to have a chat! or vice verse That’s how we have our contact.
The Teddy coat from Chi Chi London has been a godsend in the cold weather. ‘ve been impressed with my items from Chi Chi, good quality and a reasonable price. Worth looking at. The coat is now on sale and available in a lovely Grey too.

New hair goals. I found a brilliant new hair product.
At last. I have found a product that helps deal with my frizzy hair but doesn’t take out all the body. I was asked to review the new range of Shine Plex products by Charles Worthington. It’s refreshing to find a range that actually works at getting rid of the frizz and adding some shine without losing the body in your hair.
I’m really impressed by this collection and thought it very worth a mention. My favourites are the shampoo and the Glossing Mist. This leaves a lovely shine over your hair. Worth looking at. I’m talking about the products in my new film on YouTube that I’m leaving below.

Sorry you spent Christmas and New year’s apart from the family, but you did look great for New years! I thought that was a jumpsuit at first the top and pants are so nice together 🙂 I was fast asleep in my pyjamas by midnight for NYE, haha! I do think black looks good on you, I think it gets a bad rap with everyone saying we shouldn’t wear it, but I like it too (better than navy or grey). I looove that Baukjen top. Very stylish. In the end I didn’t dress up on New Year’s Eve, I had a play with a couple of outfits but really we did nothing special except watch Netflix and an early night! I bet you had fun learning to jive!
