I have a black biker jacket that I wear quite regularly, they go with everything, don’t they? My black one is quite fitted and I wanted to try one a little more oversized to fit thicker cosy jumpers under and wear with jeans etc. I found this gorgeous camel colour at M&Co
When my biker jacket arrived from MandCo (kindly gifted) I was very pleased with the quality of the leather, it’s butter-soft and the colour is just perfect. If you’re a regular reader then you will know how well this biker jacket is going to fit in with everything else in my wardrobe.
I’ve paired the biker jacket with black culottes and a lightweight black sweater. I like to wear culottes with knee-high boots keeping the look streamlined. If I wore shoes with them my legs would look even shorter than they are! I love how they look with trainers but unfortunately, that look just doesn’t suit me.
You can see how soft the leather is. And I will say what a good price for a soft leather jacket. I’ve been looking online for some time and some are very expensive!
I had a faux leather biker in black before but the top layer started to peal in any creases. Has this ever happened to yours? if you have one? I know this leather biker jacket will serve me well.
I can see me wearing a lovely cosy chunky cream jumper and my Gail Jeans and knee high boots with this or my favourite cream jeans that I wear constantly. I purposly sized up ( I’m wearing a size twelve) for this reason.
I’m pleased with the culottes. These are lightweight, with pockets and a self-tie belt. They look perfect with my knee-high boots that I invested in last year from Reiss. They were worth every penny I paid. Price per wear (I wore them constantly last year) has paid off.
The biker jacket has silver hardware but I think it works ok with gold. This was my only concern when I was choosing the jacket. I mainly wear gold strapped watches like the one pictured above along with gold jewellery. Oh and Don’t forget my special offer for Nordgreen watches!
It’s been some time since I featured MandCo on the blog. I’ve always been a fan of the brand. I miss their press days. Oh, what I wouldn’t give to be in London all back to normal, the hustle and bustle and bumping into blogger friends at press days getting glimpses of what’s to come into brands stores. I miss it!
MandCo have some beautiful items for this AW20. The knitwear is just gorgeous. I’ve just spotted a gorgeous coatigan and added it to my wish list. And they also have some lovely homeware. There’s a gorgeous quilt that will finish off the decor in my bedroom.
I’d love to hear what you think about this look. I don’t normally wear black but I felt the camel biker jacket broke the colour up a bit. Do you prefer leather or faux leather? I’m after some good quality leather trousers this year. I’m still hunting them down. I think they will be my investment this year.

Thank you! I love the colour too xx
I know many people don’t want to wear leather, but I like leather because of the durability. I know that other people have had issues with faux leather peeling. This coat is a beautiful one and I just love the color of it!

It makes a nice change from the usual black Laura. I’m still a big leather fan! xx
I love my black one and as you say the leather is so soft, I think it’s a great buy for the price. My only criticism would be that the hardware is a little too bright. I may try to dull it down with some rub n buff.

I would have prefered gold on mine Fiona but the silver I have is actually quite dull xx
What a great outfit! I really love how black and neutral look together – always such an instant chic look! And what a fabulous jacket!

Thanks Shelbee xx
The jacket really softens the black and it’s an overall beautiful outfit. That color will go with everything.

Hi Fonda. hank you. I’m really pleased with it. Thank you for stopping by xx
What a beautiful jacket. I have a few leather jackets and they are so worth the price. I have a similar buttery coloured one too …must be at least twenty years old…

I agree on that Hilda. They will never go out of fashion will they? xx
This is such a gorgeous look! I love your tan biker jacket! Love it styled with all black!
Author
Thank you Jill. I’m looking forward to styling this biker many ways xx
It is nice to have a jacket that is a little bigger in cut for our bulkier items. I have a jacket very similar and wear it a ton!!

I absolutely love this outfit! The shade of the biker jacket is perfect, and you’re right, it will go with everything. I really love how it looks with black culottes, too. And that bag is fabulous! The whole outfit is so chic and expensive-looking.

Hi Grace! Thank you so much. I’m glad you like the whole look. It just goes to show that you can look stylish and expensive on a budget. xx
Your camel biker jacket was a great choice and looks very luxurious! It looks wonderful combined with all-black and those culottes are a dream. Having short legs myself, I have shied away from wearing culottes, but pairing them with tall boots is a great idea! xxx
Author
Thanks Ann. I really think the culottes work with the boots. Giving off a streamlined look helps make the legs look longer xx
That leather jacket is absolutely gorgeous, Laurie, and totally YOU! The one colour that I cannot wear is the one colour that looks stunning on you (I’m jealous lol!)
Hope you’re doing ok.

Ah, Suzy. But you can carry off a whole black look and I can’t do that! xx
Hi Laurie,
Thanks for this post. I love the look of this jacket (it’s fab on you) and it does seem to be a very good price for leather – I bought a pale pink waxed cotton version from Boden in the summer which was pretty much the same price! Do you mind if I ask, how do you find the sleeves on this? I am petite and nearly always have to get sleeves on coats taken up as they are too long – I’m very tempted by this jacket but as we have just entered a six week lockdown here in Ireland I probably couldn’t get that done for a while at least. Also, how do you find the sizing, do you think it’s true to size – I would normally be an 8 on the bottom but a 10 on top, and sometimes a 12. It’s quite hard to return things from here, you almost never get free returns like you do in the UK, even if you get free delivery, so you need to get the size right first time if at all possible or you can end up spending a fortune on postage I’d be very interested to hear what you think on the above and thanks again. As we say in these parts when someone gets something new, Well wear!!!
Author
Hi Anne. From one petite to another! I’m 5’2 and I have short arms! I wear my sleeves ruched up as in the photos of the biker jacket. I actually filmed how I sort my sleeves out (see link at the end of this reply) I use soft elastic because otherwise, I’m forever pushing them up. You would have a job to shorten the sleeves on this biker because of the zips on the sleeves.
I’m a regular size 10 on top but as I said in the post I sized up on the biker jacket so that I can wear thicker jumpers underneath. I would say that the jacket is true to size, it’s very roomy in a size 12 for me. What I will say is that the leather is very good quality. I hope this helps Anne.

Beautiful jacket! It works really well with the place pieces your outfit. My preference for jackets is leather, but honestly, the weather is so warm here for a good part of the year that the only leather jacket I have is the one I use when my husband and I go out on the motorcycle. It’s heavy with reinforced elbows and shoulders, not something to pair with an outfit.

Thanks Ashley. I’m really pleased with it xx
It’s a great jacket Laurie, I like the fact you can wear a jumper under it! I’m after some longer line jackets at the moment, I’m keeping a look-out for some that will be great for Autumn. Jacqui x

Thanks Jacqui. I decided I’d get more wear out of it if I had it roomy enough for thicker jumpers xx
That’s a lovely jacket and the culottes are great too. I love to wear culottes but don’t have black ones!
Author
Thanks Nancy. Yes, I’m really pleased with these. Wearing the boots with them to make my legs look longer worked out well xx
I have a blush biker jacket that I really like but forget to wear! I love this one!
I have had the urge to wear black lately too, and I do but always have a warn color near my face, like you did here Laurie. Beautiful look! That jacket is gorgeous!
thanks for linking!

Thanks, Jess. It’s refreshing to hear from someone with the same problem as me. I admire the masses that can actually wear an all-black look! xx
Lovely jacket Laurie, looks very expensive. I like the look of long boots with culottes. I would only wear culottes like this in winter – can’t bear a draught around my ankles! Thanks for linking at #WowOnWednesday.

Thanks Gail. I’m really liking the culottes xx
