I’ve just managed to do the Autumn-Winter wardrobe changeover. I thought I was late, but looking at my time machine on my weather report last year and the year before the weather was a lot brighter and warmer. So I was cheated on in my book!
Sandals and jumpers just don’t mix, do they? However, could it be that we have to stay indoors again pretty soon? How do you feel about it, all the confusing restrictions? I’m starting to worry especially as Dee is higher risk.
Anyway, you’re not here to read about my worries, so let’s crack on and talk fashion and stuff. Here’s what’s been making me smile.
I’m so pleased with my newest item. This jumper from H&M is what I mean by cosy. It’s super soft, not too heavy and just perfect for weekend wear with a pair of jeans. A bargain price at £20
I love the deep ribbed cuffs and the high neck. As you read through this post you will soon realise that H&M is my go-to place at the moment. As far as quality and price plus variety go they can do no wrong. It doesn’t help that if I walk to my local supermarket I have to walk past the H&M store! I’ve paired the jumper with my favourite ear jackets from Claudia Bradby. Pink on pink!
The next item new in the Autumn-Winter wardrobe that I’m really happy with is the blouse pictured above. I love the colour, simple puff sleeves and the price tag of £10! I purchased this in my local Asda supermarket. ( can you see the pattern forming ) Asda George is quite good too!
So on the way to the supermarket, I have to curb myself away from H&M and then in the supermarket, I have to sway in the other direction of the clothing!
The jeans are from FandF. A few years old now but still available to buy. I keep meaning to get another pair because they are my favourite jeans to date. Flares/bootcut jeans are very much back on-trend at the moment and this makes me very happy. They make my legs look longer!
A family day out gave me a chance to wear my other new Autumn-winter item
A visit to RHS Hyde Hall to sit on mums memorial bench. It was a lovely day and we all (my aunt and cousin plus of course Dee) reminisced special times with her. Actually, there’s barely a day goes by that Sara and I don’t talk about her.
Hyde Hall is a beautiful place to visit. It was one of mums favourite places to go. Vast land segmented into all different kinds of garden styles. It’s really interesting to see what you can do with an average-sized piece of land. If your garden was roughly the same size then you could literally copy it. There is so much inspiration,
Mums memorial plaque says “Doreen Bronze, forever looking at gardens” I think we all got the green finger inspiration from mum.
Mums bench is situated in the “Modern Garden” this was her preferred kind of garden, and especially when it came to floral arrangements, she loved to be really different. Mum used to do floristry and loved it.
And here is another purchase I made walking to the supermarket! ( I’ve now given up the walk and joined the gym. It’s cheaper!) Another H&M find is this cosy coatigan.
Again, it’s super soft and the colour? between a biscuit brown and grey. It will work hard for this years Autumn Winter wardrobe. And again, this was cheap at £20 It’s available in black and cream too. I’m tempted to get the cream as well!
The dress underneath the coatigan is one of my favourites and still available from Roman Originals I received this gifted from Roman just at the beginning of lockdown. It got really warm from then on. so I intend to wear it with boots now. It really is a gorgeous dress, with pockets, swishy and uncreasable.

I like to make Wish lists!
I’ve been adding weekly wish lists to my bio on Instagram. I’ve purchased the clear and gold umbrella (no.7) and I’m waiting for it to arrive. I hope it comes soon. Maybe I should have ordered a boat! The rain is just constant and has been for nearly a week now.
You might like some Autumn-Winter fashion on film?
I’m leaving a couple of my latest YouTube films for you. I hope you can pop over and let me know what you think? Your feedback is so important to me.
I have so much more to add to this post! It could go on for ages! I will have to fit in all my new bits and pieces into another post and get it out to you quick as I can. Oh, and before I go, please don’t forget to enter the Ark Skincare competition!
Keep you and yours safe and well xx

We must live on opposite sides of the pond ;). I haven’t heard of the stores you shop at, but you do a lovely job of pulling together outfits! I shop mostly online (the nearest mall is a 90-minute drive away), and I almost always buy clothes from Eddie Bauer (with a few Costco or Sam’s Club purchases tossed in). I LOVE buying things on sale or clearance.
We were walking around the mall and spending a ton of money too, Laurie. That’s so funny you were too.

Thank you. I’m pleased with my finds xx
That jumper looks like a wonderful cozy piece! I have been finishing the switch of my clothes: I do leave most of my short sleeve tops out but pull out all of my sweaters and cozy tops.

I’m really pleased with the jumper. I was worried about washing it, but its washed well. Thanks, Mireille x
The FandF jeans are a fab fit on you. I’ve just added another Tom Tailor pair to my wardrobe. We haven’t had the rain here yet, but it’s got really cold suddenly, wearing layers isn’t something I’m used to doing, will be back in Dubai next month and in my summer clothing again. Thanks for linking with #pocolo

Laurie, I love it all! That pink jumper in the first photo is so adorable. It looks great on you. And so cozy. I love your maxi dress, too. Perfect fall styling! I have been following along with the covid news in your part of the world and I am pretty certain the U.S. will be right back there with you soon! Stay safe, healthy, and sane, my friend! Hi Lovely. It’s good to see you back! Thank you for such a lovely compliment. I’m glad you enjoy the posts.
Very pretty pieces, Laurie. I love H&M too. We have one at our mall, which I rarely go to these days. I guess that is good, otherwise, I would be doing the same thing…buying up all the goodies. You look lovely! – Amy
The jumper is really a pretty shade, and yes it’s nice to snuggle in a jumper when it’s cold. I must have missed that coatigan Laurie, it’s perfect. x Jacqui

Thanks Jacqui. I love it! Tempted to get the other colours too!
I love how you have styled that dress. And cannot believe it is so reasonably priced. Also that pink knit….gorgeous.

Thanks Hilda. Worth every penny I must say!
I’ve started my changeover, but haven’t finished yet, but I’ve still done more than usual at this time of year. It got a lot colder all of a sudden so needed some warmer stuff, but then I ran out of steam. I’m loving your latest finds, particularly the H&M jumper and coatigan, and the Roman Originals dress is still a stunner. How wonderful to remember your Mum with her very own memorial bench, and what a lovely inscription! xxx

Thanks so much Ann. The Roman dress is a lovely versatile dress. Mum was literally forever looking at gardens! Any day out involved gardens, but Hyde Hall was her favourite apart from the Chelsea flower show.
How funny that while you are packing away your sandals and t-shirts and restocking your autumn-winter wardrobe, we do the opposite. In fact, I already packed away my boot and jumpers. Speaking of which, your pink one is really lovely. I like the fact that it’s collar gives warmth and is gentle around the neck. You look stunning in this dress Laurie

I know Anna! Now it’s my turn to envy your summer. Stay safe over there xx
I think it’s best you order your groceries online and let them deliver at your door! Lol. Cheaper anyway. Your mom has a memorial bench? I have a place in Sussex in a nature reserve, and told Gerben years and years ago, that I want a memorial bench on that place! I can imagine you are worried for Dee s health. Here the rules are restricted again tonight, it’s frightening. Some people believe we all shall get it. Brrr.
Author
Yes. We are now in tighter restrictions Nancy. I don’t use deliveries for a couple of reasons. They mostly give us different brands when things are out of stock. I can’t take that because my allergies restrict me from having certain ingredients. Secondly, you can barely ever get a delivery slot!
I will however now start to rely on friends and family again to get my shopping one way or another xx
You’ve added so many gorgeous fall pieces to your wardrobe! I love your pink sweater!
