Lotus SS17 Event – Celebrating Style Link Up

Welcome back to Celebrating Style!

This post should have been called Celebrating Doris! Has anyone else been foolish enough to try and get some good shots in this storm today!? I put my tripod up and it was nearly blown away in seconds, so this one measly shot is all I got for you!

Anyhow at least you can see what this post is all about. Late last summer I posted about the Lotus brand. If you’re new here you may not have read the post. You can find it here I have had a lot of wear out of these oh so comfortable boots, and I love that the bag matches!

A while back I went to the Jacobson Group press event which has Lotus, Ravel, Dolcis, Gola, Frank Wright and Lonsdale all under one umbrella.

I wanted to wait to show you the SS17 until it was available new in the stores. Let’s take a look.

Lotus

Who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle? The clutch bags are gorgeous, and one thing about the Lotus brand is the comfort they have in mind for us ladies. Mid-height heels and the best materials making sure they are easily wearable. My money is on the Aztec print above!

Nearly everything is available to buy now. You can find the Lotus brand here

Ravel

Ravel is a brand that I have purchased from many a time. In the seventies in my first years at senior school, this was the only brand that you could buy modern shoes in a size two and a half. Everywhere else it was either adult fashion shoes starting at size three or really childish shoes for my size feet. Thank you Ravel! They’re still very much the trendsetting shoe brand! You can find all these goodies here

Dolcis

I know how much the brogue shoe is on trend right now. How about some shiny ones? I really like the white flower sandals. These also come in a multicolour too. You can find the Dolcis brand here

So many gorgeous shoes! Leopard print and sequins is a match made in shoe heaven! I love your red snake print bag and boots. I don't own any Lotus shoes (which is a miracle considering how many pairs I have) so I'll pop over to the website for a browse 🙂

One of my first jobs was with the PR side of Lotus in Bond Street, London, when they were a company to be reckoned with. All mens and ladies shoes were made in Britain and the mens shoes in particular were reckoned to last a lifetime. They would often be returned for complete new soles and heels after 25 years. Times have changed of course and the brand is completely different but a small part of me will always gravitate to the name. There are some beautiful styles here I need to check them out.

    • February 26, 2017 / 3:25 pm

Thank you Pamela. My Lotus boots have been worn quite a lot, and they are still like new. The quality is very good. xx

  20. February 24, 2017 / 1:34 pm

It's a bummer when the weather doesn't cooperate, right, Laurie??
But the photos of all these shoes just made my heart go pitter patter!!

Some lovely shoes! I like the shiny brogues in particular, and the shoes and bag with the colourful "dotty" print will match exactly a dress I bought last year…..I quite like being "matchy matchy" occasionally.
    Thanks for the link up.
