I had the lovely opportunity of a gifted spa day. A Spa Experience. Who would refuse that?! It’s been a while since I had a good pampering and as I’m just about to start packing to move house (Yes I’m moving! More about that later) I know how stressful it’s going to be and so this invitation to some seriously good me-time couldn’t have come at a better time.
I might just attend another just after the move to wind down too. That’s me all over. “Just leave the boxes waiting to be unpacked Laurie and go chill somewhere!”
I was invited to try the Spa Experience By Better for one their quick “hit” beauty sessions. The idea is generated for the busy woman with less time on her hands. These sessions are arranged in thirty-minute blocks.
So If you wanted, say a massage or facial in your lunch break or a quick evening pamper session. There are loads of different treatments available, all in 30-minute blocks.
Spa Experience at affordable prices – Luxury for less
These short but effective and purse-friendly treatments can be booked in blocks of however many you like. £25.00 will buy you a twenty-five minutes facial or £50.00 will buy you an hours treatment – maybe a full post-holiday body treatment?.
I decided on the Soul Ritual a treatment that entails a 25 minute legs and feet exfoliation followed by a good soothing massage. I was also given accesses to the Thermal Spa within the complex.
So inviting!
The room I was taken to was lovely. I didn’t know what to expect on a budget package. When you read the menu of treatments and how reasonably priced it all is you wonder what to expect. I was impressed with how luxurious it all was.
There are Spa Experience By Better salons throughout the country and Ireland. I will leave a link at the end of the post so that you can see if there’s one near to you.
Although the treatments are short, there’s no expense spared when it came down to products used. I love Elemis skincare and the exfoliator and oils used for my treatment smelled amazing. within a couple of minutes into my treatment, I was in full relaxation mode!
I chatted with the therapist after the treatment of others that were available. I think I would book the Soul Ritual and a 30-minute facial. Steaming and any extractions are free if you pre-book.
I think an hour of treatment for around £60.00 (it all works out at £1.00 per minute) would be wonderful and then a visit to the Thermal Spa for an hour, also very reasonably priced makes for a lovely relaxing time. Luxury for less is what I thought. My treatment and the spa experience worked out to £41.00!
A very well equipped thermal spa
After my treatment, the therapist disappeared for a while, whilst I came round from that leg and foot treatment. I literally fell asleep! She returned with a bag equipped with a dressing gown and flipflops plus a towel for the Thermal Spa. I put my belongings into a locker and sauntered my way there.
I was really impressed with it. A relaxation room with drinks provided. A sauna, steam room, monsoon shower, and Ice fountain and a hydrotherapy pool.
The lighting was very relaxed and the photos were difficult, but I loved watching the ice fountain change colour. I tried a little of the ice on my legs but that was it!
I couldn’t take photos of the sauna and steam room, but you can take a look at the website. The Hydrapool was bar far my favourite and I stayed there for some time.
The Thermal Spa, worth every penny spent at the highest price of £26.00 for 180 minutes and the cheapest off-peak time of £10.00 is amazing value, and available at weekends.
For the price, I had an amazing spa time
After spending some time there I then headed into the relaxation room. Dimmed lights and soothing music. It was lovely. So for all that time that I was at the spa, with my treatment and entry into the Thermal Spa at a cost of £41.00 and definitely not to be sniffed at. Even better if you were to go with a friend or a group booking. Very impressed.

Time to go then Karen! You deserve it xx
How delightful! Everyone should be able to afford pampering on occasion. It shouldn’t be reserved for those who are more financially secure. Your pics are lovely and so is this facility. Looks like all of the bells and whistles, pleasing fragrances and treats to the five senses at affordable prices. Sharing with the world via the Blogging Grandmothers link party.
