I wanted to share a couple of really good new items that have been added to my make up bag, so I thought I’d write and film a step by step guide on how I create my quick daily understated look.

Each Item that I’ve tried from the brand has been great, you may have seen my last post featuring the Eye Prime? I couldn’t be without that now!
A quick and easy natural make up for daytime
I’m adding all the tools and makeup that I’ve used for this natural look. It actually looks like there’s a lot involved but this application takes me around ten minutes on a daily basis. Yes, I’m using a couple of extras, but they resolve things that I don’t like about my skin (dark eyelids and lined lips) especially a couple of broken veins that I have and that dreaded pigmentation that we older women get.

After applying the Smooth Like Silk face prime, I’m adding my first new addition to my make up. Light Look Beauty Balm

After applying the Smooth Like Silk Face Prime, I’m adding my first new addition to my makeup. Light Look Beauty Balm.
This is a really light moisture balanced balm, quick and easy to apply it sits nicely on the skin with the primer. It lasts well through the day too. Good coverage but not heavy. It doesn’t sink into my wrinkles and make them more visible, this is something I’ve had to be careful of the last couple of years. I prefer something light all over and then cover the bad bits with concealer.
You can see this colour is quite dark against my skin but it blends really well. You can see so much more via the video that I’ve added actually applying this daily look.
Eyes
LFF Brow Shape – No Shimmer Eye Shade Cream – No Shimmer Eye Shade Cocco – – LFF Lithe Lash Mascara
Next, I apply one of my favourite make up finds of the year. The LFF Smooth Out Eye Prime. This works like a treat on my pinky/mauve darkened eyelids and really brightens the skin. This also stops your eye make up from creasing too. I totally recommend a try of this ladies if your eyelids have darkened like mine.
I apply some Bring Back Brow Shape next. This is like the finest of eyeliners. You can literally paint on hairs with this and it’s great for those that have sparse eyebrows. Luckily I don’t have that problem but this adds extra shape for me. Once dry I brush in for more shape
I apply a quick brush of No Shimmer Eye Shade in the shade of cream. I always apply a light dusting all over for brightness to make my eyes pop, it just really brightens them up.
With the Wedge Shadow Brush, I apply a line of No Shimmer Eye Shade in Cocoa. My eyelashes are very sparse and I feel a fine line along the lash line with added mascara really helps. It actually makes it look like I have more lashes than I do!

Lips
LFF Never Feather Lip Prime – Lustrous Colour Lipstick
Now onto my next genius product. The Never Feather Lip Prime . My lips are starting to get those dreaded sunken lines and I was amazed after trying this primer. The lines seem less noticeable after applying and the lipstick is warned off from bleeding into them. I apply a light tap of the applicator to the very top and bottom of the lips and then just gently glide my finger to smooth it over the lips. I wait a couple of minutes to let it set before applying the lipstick.
A precise line is applied with the lip brush. I’m a lip pencil fan and was a bit dubious about the precision I would achieve at first not using one. But the brush doesn’t splay out at all, so you get a really good clean line. I’m wondering if that’s where I’ve been going wrong? By using a pencil? Maybe it’s too dry and sinking into the lines? I’m really happy with the outcome of the Never Feather and lipstick together applied this way.
Bronze
Finishing the look off with my Look Fabulous Forever Enduring Summer Bronze. . I like this because it has no shimmer in it at all. I use this constantly summer or winter, I prefer the colour tone of bronze to a pink blusher.

I have been doing my eyes and skin care the same way for years and years and years. It’s fast. It’s efficient. It’s also time to update. Mature skin takes a little more care and a slightly different approach. thanks for the tips, especially the lip smoother.
