Feeling a little cooler?
I’m in Essex again this week visiting the family. I have brought my new Jord Watch to show you and take some photos in the country park. Have you heard of Jord watches? I have seen many different styles on my blogger friends and was delighted when they contacted me to choose one.
This time last year I hadn’t worn a watch for a good few years. “Why do you need a watch when you have a phone?” was my thoughts. But I actually like wearing them and feel more dressed.
I sold my last watch to pay for my OH’s wedding ring ten years ago. An Omega Diamond and white gold beauty from my first marriage. It was the last thing to go that I had left. I had money back then! Do I miss it? No!
I chose this dress to show off the watch. Just as I was getting ready I realised that I had left the belt at home! I had to do some last minute thinking!
And typically it’s windy again!
The dress is by Kapula. I found it in T K Maxx. I love finding a bargain in there! I like the natural colours and the overlay at the top. A bit like a raincoat style.
Mother didn’t have a belt for me to borrow, so I used one of her many long necklaces to use as a belt. I was quite pleased with the outcome. I love the watch. The strap and case are all made from wood.
I finished the look off with my brown bag and cream heels. I’m glad the belt situation worked out! Nothing worse than a wardrobe malfunction when you’re away! Have you had any experiences like that? do tell!
The watch that I chose is called “Frankie” Zebra wood with a champagne dial. There are lots of different wood stains to choose from and I have a link here where you can receive a whopping $100 towards a Jord watch. And all other entrants can receive a $25 code. These are all my favourite colours. Browns, creams, and gold. The watch is going to work well into my wardrobe I think it will look great with Denim.
I will be swapping my heels for flip flops any minute now! I have the mother, grandchildren and of course my ever patient OH who is taking my photos today waiting to take a stroll around this park!

Lovely look, Laurie! Fun seeing how you styled your Jord watch and which one you chose. They have contacted me as well, and though I don't usually promote a product, their watches just look so unique and beautiful that I agreed. Laurie, like you I haven't worn a watch for years, since I finished working full time in fact. I have seen a few reviews for Jord watches and have always been a bit sceptical of the wood finish but it does look quite resilient and it goes perfectly with your outfit. You look fab as always. I love the way you styled this watch, and the watch itself is very unique. I love that it is made of wood. I use a watch whenever I go to work. It looks much more professional in a courtroom to look at my wrist than my phone. I agree that your watch will also pair really well with denim!
