What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed in the mornings?
For me, it’s put the kettle on, make a cup of tea and enjoy my space watching the news for the first half hour. That’s where the story of this dress begins…
I always look forward to seeing what the news girls will be wearing in the morning. One particular morning a dress that Kate Garraway was wearing really caught my eye. I started to delve into the internet to find out where that gorgeous dress was from.
And luckily I found it! So here I am sporting my dress from my new found love label Alie Street
and what happens when you want to do a good job of showing off your new dress ? It pours with rain ! That’s why this post is a day late ladies. Unless someone could conjure up a newsdesk for me to walk around meant that I just had to wait a day.
Today I was graced with a small gap in the clouds, it’s blowing a gale but at least it’s dry.
Getting onto the dress, which arrived beautifully packaged. Wrapped in tissue paper and smartly boxed. I love the colour blocking, perfect shades for me, it’s also available in a Berry/Black
The dress is gorgeous to wear, it feels quite silky and is lined, made from Viscose and Elastane it has a good stretch to it, yet hugs you nicely. You can feel that you are wearing quality, and it’s so elegant. I know I don’t look as good as Kate Garraway, but I felt good !
I chose to keep the dress the main focal point. I just added a blue and gold necklace of a similar hue and Nude court shoes and bag. Let the colour blocking speak for itself.
The colour blocking of the dress is chosen in all the right places. Teal and Navy are a perfect combination. A deeper shade on the waistband accentuates the waistline.
I wore the dress all day and it didn’t crease at all. I’m so happy with it ! I am already thinking about other dresses from Alie Street. They have beautiful evening dresses that will be great for Christmas. My chosen one would be this Lila Lace Dress And there are some beautiful evening dresses worn by a host of celebrities.

I have not heard of this brand before. But this is my favorite color, next to Black. I really like the way they color-blocked it, it is really figure flattering. Great to hear that it didn't crease throughout the entire day. I will check out the line really interested in their other styles.
