Nougat London – The Easy Wear Dress

Today I’m sharing with you one of my favourite brands Nougat London….

This is the sister brand to Havren . I posted the gorgeous Havren dress a couple of weeks back and if you missed the post you can find it here

This  Pansie frilled hemline dress is so simple, it’s really easy to turn it into either a day or night dress. The colour Oatmeal is a  blank canvas to play with and would easily blend with any colour you desire.

Today I’m giving the dress a daytime look and keeping the colour hue simple, switching the shades up a notch with this fur-lined Gilet ( Perfect for today’s freezing weather !) Mushroom suede boots and my daytime tan handbag.

The flirty hemline swishes when you walk, and the dress is  silky and light. A shame there is no wind to show you how fluid it is. It feels beautiful on, nothing beats that silky feel.

But there is sun! I prefer the weather to be cold and bright, rather than warmer temperatures and rain any day!

The Jewellery I chose to enhance the dress is a Rose gold necklace and Bangle. The sleeves are long, but I preferred to ruche them up for detail.

You can see here how loose-fitting the dress is here. This is the ideal outfit for not worrying how much you eat.! No un-doing of the waistbands after that enormous Christmas dinner is what I have in mind !

So now all I need to do is decide how I’m going to wear this dress party style. I think it will look great with Black, more Gold or even Silver. There’s a gorgeous Black Cardigan here that would work perfectly. Plus there is 10% off your first order at the Nougat London site Well worth looking at

Glad to have my Gilet back on. It’s bloody freezing!  I’d like you to tell me how you would style this dress for evening, so please leave your comments below or tweet me at @vanityandmeblog

 Xo Laurie

You look amazing! It looks sophisticated and comfy, which is hard to pull off! I'd love to see how you style it for a party. And it looks like it'll transition nicely to Spring with maybe a neckerchief and a denim jacket with those boots? I'd love to see how you style it any way! It is a truly beautiful dress with flattering ruffles and draping to die for. The jewelry and jacket are perfect as well!

    Hugs and Merry Christmas!

I love this dress on you Laurie, love how you have put it with the boots, I am abit mad about autumn/winter boots. As I get older I appreciate a comfortable dress more and more, and opt for dress with tights more than jeans and a top these days. Thank you for sharing #sharethejoy x

This dress is so simple in it's shape, but so very flattering too which surely is the best combination. I love how you've styled it up with the gilet and boots – I'd wear something similar too. You look perfectly groomed as always Laurie x

I didn't know Nougat was the sister brand to Havren…you learn something everyday. It's a lovely dress, very versatile, and you've styled it beautifully with the rose gold necklace and boots.

I am clueless about how to dress this for evening! LOL That's why I'm such a fan. You help me pull my wardrobe together! Ha! I am a huge fan of black, I need to learn to break it up a bit, I love the way you mix and match colors, textures and styles. That rose gold necklace looks stunning with this combo!

Love the cream color Laurie and the pretty drop waist. I would add gold or silver as you mentioned, then perhaps a pair of metallic shoes for the Holidays. Looking so pretty with the fur too

  26. December 1, 2016 / 11:48 am

That is a fabulous dress for going out for diner!😉 I think it s a wonderful dress and I always love a different hemline. Love your vest too! And the background!

  27. December 1, 2016 / 6:54 am

The dress looks very fluid ( also without the wind) and its light colour goes very nice with the taupe accessories. I often prefer not to wear too dark shoes ( or boots) with pale colours…

Have a pleasant end of the week!
