Revolution Pro New Neutrals Make Up

It’s been a while since I did a makeup post. I like to try new items but I have to say I’m a bit of a makeup snob. I like to buy the best for the best results, durability, pigment, and of course lush packaging! When Revolution Pro offered me the gift to try the new neutrals range I thought it looked good and the packaging is beautiful considering the price. This made me a little sceptical to what the actual makeup would be like.

I’m pleased with the results and there are a couple of real heroes here that I would definitely buy when I’ve run out of them. Here’s the step by step process of the application and my thoughts. and can I just say, as the years go by, doing these close up shots become harder and harder! I’m showing off all the new wrinkles here!

Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Radiance Foundation

The Revolution foundation, now, this little beauty really surprised me. There are a zillion shades to choose from and getting the perfect shade, well, that takes a little time. I actually went into Superdrug to try shades before telling the Pr which one I required.

Ten out of ten for packaging, this is an extremely good buy at only £9.00 and it even has a pump for less waste. I’ve chosen shade F10 and I’ve linked in the shopping carousel below for you. I always like a foundation with yellow tones, they just add a little warmth to this older sallow shaded skin!

The texture is great and I would put this foundation up there with the more expensive brands. It feels really moist on and what it says on the bottle – hydrating. I’ve applied with my fingers and buffed with the large kabuki brush. It seems to stay on well but I will say that I didn’t like the setting powder. I don’t like any powders on my face and this one might be good for you but for me, it’s too drying, even though it says it’s hydrating.

Revolution Pro New Neutral Luxe Eyeshadow Pallette

I love this colour palette. It has everything I need for a day to night look. I’m not a lover of heavy eyeshadow colour and the shades in this palette are perfect for just adding a little lightness and a good nude-toned look. There’s a cream base to apply before the eyeshadow and this seems to work well.

The base hides the deeper pinker tones on my eyelid and I like that. It also helps the eyeshadow attach better too.

24 hr Brow – Night and day brow pen

I was dubious about the pen. The colour looks like tan rather than brown, but when applied it looks ok. It stayed in place and I used this as an eyeliner too without any irritation. Two for the price of one! The brush applicator is quite precise but will give a deeper line on the eyelid.

There’s a serum attached at the end of the pen that you can apply at nighttime for growth and thicker eyebrows too. I like the application and the overall effect of the makeup and again this is a good price at £8.00. I couldn’t find the pen on the Revolution website but it is available in Superdrug. as is all of the Revolution range. The colour is Warm Brown

I always like something with a bit of a shimmer to make my eyes pop a little bit but at the same time looking quite natural. I’ve used the shade Neutral and added a little shimmer with Glitzed.

For a more smokey effect, if I were going out and wanted to look more made up, I’ve used Calm as I have done in the photo above for a little more definition in the socket line.

Can I just add that the mirror is a very good size and the palette is slim, so this would be great to carry in a bag or clutch for touch-ups. A very good price at £12.00 and would make a great gift. There’s a shade in there for everyone.

Hoisting up the eyelid to add mascara is helpful to get to the very root of the eyelash! I always use a magnifying mirror nowadays too!

Revolution Pro Sculpt And Glow

This would be my second favourite from the Revolution haul. I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago in my weekly edit because it really has impressed me. The bronzer is gorgeous, not at all shimmery and it’s not overly dark with a hint of pink. It gives off a lovely healthy glow.

The highlighter? I’m not a big fan and leave this to the youngsters. I have used it on my eyes though and I like it for that. Again, I think this is excellent quality for the price at £8.00 I’ve linked in my shade called Sands of time but there are others available

Revolution Pro Neutral Satin Matte Lipstics

I like a shimmer on my lips usually, but I really like these on. I’ve been using the Cashmere at lot during the daytime, it’s a lovely nude/brown tone

But to complete this makeup look I’ve used the Velvet, outlining with a lip brush and filling in.

And here’s the finished look. Ha! This close up shot looks like “Hi, and here is the evening news”! But what I will say is that I’m very impressed by this budget brand.

Your getting quite good quality for the money and this makeup was still pretty much in place before I went to bed. Impressed! I’ve left links below for you to the Revolution Pro website but as I said before It’s all available in Superdrug too

I never could get the highlighting scales! One make up artist wanted to learn me, but hilighting is just not for me. I think it’s great to show the cheaper brands too. It doesn’t always have to be expensive.
