A Little Bit Of Everything – Fashion, Beauty And Family Photos.

A Little Bit Of Everything – Fashion, Beauty And Family Photos.

The last 28 days flew by. We had some incredible weather even the flowers/plants are confused I think? I spent a week with the family while the school holidays were on. The decorating of the flat was put on hold for a week.

It’s difficult to know what to pack for a week regarding fashion when the weather’s like a yo-yo. I had to think carefully and pack as light as possible. The dogs always come with us and they take up all of the bootspace!

The leather biker has been my fashion friend

It was well worth the wait to find the perfect fit for little me and the quality of the leather is butter soft. If your thinking about buying one, take a look at your charity shops like I did. You can read how I found this biker here. I would never have been able to afford a good designer piece like this. I have lived in the boots from Jake Shoes constantly.

Here’s another outfit with the biker. The sculpting jeans have just been the best! And the Natalie blouse from my favourite brand Baukjen is now on sale.

The grandsons birthday

It was one of my grandson’s birthday and he had his heart set on this huge bear!

You should have seen the looks I got driving him home! You may have seen my stories on Instagram? If we’re not connected, you can find me here

One of those glorious sunny days, I managed to get some family photos

Meet the grandchildren and the daughter. From left to right – Zack -Ronnie – Sara and Blake. It’s hard to get a family photo of them all smiling together. Blake is severely autistic, hence why Sara is having to hold him in place.

You may remember the outfit from a couple of weeks ago? I often pop over so Sara can take a quick shot for me. We rarely manage to get a photo of the two of us. Sara, bless her rarely gets a full nights sleep and I wonder how she copes sometimes. I try to help as much as possible.

Beauty news

Slow to the very popular Trinny London BFF foundation. For me, it just didn’t have enough coverage. I like to hide my imperfections more than this lightweight foundation could handle.

I like that this has an SPF of 30 and the texture is amazing. I decided one day to mix one pump with my foundation and it was love! Mixing the two together is like a base and foundation all rolled into one. The light particles and consistency have made a foundation matched in heaven. Hence why it is now empty and there’s a new one on its way. Take a look at the Trinny London Website. Worth a look.

There's a little bit of everything in this post. Looking back on the last few weeks, what I've been up too, news, fashion and beauty etc.

I’ve been gifted a whole host of goodies from Superdrug’s new skincare range called Optimum. This new range has been developed with us more mature women in mind regarding our skincare and I’m looking forward to road testing it all. There will be a follow up post to see how I’ve got on.

Adding new items to my spring summer wardrobe – making wish lists

[lookbook id=”3299″ show-legend=”true” show-desc=”false” show-reveal=”true”]

The Jumpsuit caught my eye. I love linen when it’s warm and I thought a T-shirt would look good under it too on cooler days. French Connection is not a label I see in the blogosphere a lot but I think they have some lovely items.

The blouse is floral and floaty. The colorways will work hard with my other summer wardrobe.

Pearls are going to be a huge trend this year, they are everywhere on Instagram. I love pearls and I like the more on-trend design above. On sale too at a mere £7.99!

I recently stumbled across the Katie Loxton handbag site via my Instagram and I love so many of the designs!

News

There's a little bit of everything in this post. Looking back on the last few weeks, what I've been up too, news, fashion and beauty etc.

I was recently invited by Marie Curie the cancer charity to become a brand ambassador. Of course, I jumped at the chance to support this wonderful charity that helps cancer sufferers and their families to get through hard times. These Tara Daffodil shoes from Hotter shoes are cute and soo comfortable. There’s a donation of £20.00 to Marie Currie for every pair sold.I look forward to sharing what’s to come via the charity. They have some lovely ideas in store.

Excited!

I’m excited to tell you that I will be featured in the weekly magazine “Women’s Own” on the 12th of March. I always get a bit nervous about stuff like this! I have no idea what it’s going to look like!

Back on film!

I finally managed to edit my first stage of the flat renovation. I will manage to get those weekly films up one day Promise!

    Hi Laurie,

I love this post. It so open, authentic and honest. It’s nice to get to know you more personally. I admire your daughter – she must be a strong woman to take care of her three boys and one of them being autistic.

    Big hugs,
    Miriam

Your grandchildren are adorable! I can only image the looks you got driving down the road with that huge bear… my mother in law put a giant Santa in her backseat one December and drove all around with him; the reactions were priceless.

That must be very difficult for your daughter. We have a nephew who is autistic. He is now 18 and pretty independent. But as a child he was a lot to handle.

Yes, it’s very hard Nancy. They have said he will be life long dependant but Blake has done so well the past year that I wonder. He’s just starting to say a couple of words and tries to communicate so that’s amazing xx
