My Month Of July

Where did that month go? And how hot was it? The hottest July ever! Here are a few things I wanted to share with you that Haven’t been mentioned on the blog before. You may have seen some of the action on my Instagram though.

A couple of beauty items plus some outfits not mentioned here on the blog. Plus I want to share a new online shopping experience to save your pennies!

I’ve been super busy sorting out mums house. Emptying it has been hard. I put the house on the market and it sold in four days! I will be very sad to see it go. My blog posts are nearly up to date and that’s made me feel under less pressure too.

OOTD July

dress from warehouse ootd July

I’ve been wearing this lightweight dress from Warehouse quite a lot. After looking online at the Warehouse brand I just had to go and have a try on. They have some beautiful dresses at the moment.

This Jumpsuit was a mere £5.00 from Primark! Bargain.

July’s new sandals

Geox sandals from wikibuy

I was introduced to a new way of shopping! An online site that helps you get more for your pennies! I love the Yoox website for buying designer items and these oh so comfortable sandals are what I chose.

You can find out how to save money via wikibuy– here

Meeting friends

christmas at next

Christmas came early! Next actually wrapped this gorgeous building for their Christmas event. It was a fun day meeting up with Ashley from Lazy Daisy Jones and bumping into Kerry of  Life and Loves

It’s always great to meet up with Ashley and the event was interesting too. A glimpse of all the glamorous fashions and homeware plus there was an interesting discussion with a panel ladies talking about fashion ideas. A good day out. The Safari dress is years old from M&S  Perfect for a hot day. I bought it oversized so it’s comfortable!

Possibly the best hair mask ever!

I was gifted some Josh Wood hair products to try. I also did one of my first IGTV videos about this fantastic brand. It all smells amazing and the hair mask even tames my messy frizz.

You can grab a third off the regular price of the shampoo and conditioner at boots at the moment. Just go have a smell! You will be hooked!

OK, I’m converted!

Tarte Foundation review

I decided to take the plunge and treat myself to the Tarte Amazionian Clay foundation. After using my Estee Lauder Double wear for nearly twenty years. I find although it gives fantastic coverage, it sunk into my lines and well. made me look even more wrinkly!

I decided to give the Tarte Foundation a go and it’s bloody amazing stuff. I’ve never been a brush applicator fan either but this large brush really does finish the application with ease. Love it, go get yourself some!

Still trying to fathom out Youtube!

There’s a new film on Youtube. Me talking about being way too hot and all the fashions from the last month. Faffing about in general! I’d love it if you pop over and maybe even hit the subscribe button! You can watch the film here

    Hi Laurie!
I imagine it was difficult with selling your mom’s house and packing up. July was busy but did whizz by! Love your neutral looks Laurie and those sandals are fabulous. Thanks for the recommendation for the hair mask, I could use a deep conditioner or mask sometime. I love Tarte products, i use their lippie lingire and pressed blush. Looks like a great set, I love the brush.

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to pack up your mom’s place 😥. I wish I could try out that hair mask, I’ll have to check it out and see if we carry it in Canada.

Such a difficult and busy time for you, Laurie, but you’re through the worst. I’m amazed how quick the Essex property market is, we got buyers the weekend the houses went on.
Your shirt dress is so elegant and your meet-up sounds so glam and lovely. Looking forward to hearing what excitement August will bring you! Hugs, x.

The Warehouse dress (and lovely straw bag) and red jumpsuit are great buys, look super on you. Congrats on sorting out your mum’s house so quickly. It’s a sad business so very good you got on with it and the house sold so quickly.

oh gosh, look at you looking amazing!! Your outfit at the Next event is gorgeous! I love primark as you can get some real bargains but being 5’1 I cant always wear their dresses… though their maxi skirts were fab when pregnant as noone could tell I had the waist band under my boobs hahahaha!
Thanks for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales, look forward to seeing you back next week!

Huly is over? Already/ Wow didn’t see that pass by! Crazy how time marches on, no doubt helped by the sunny weather helping people to have fun and as they say “time flies when you’re having fun”.

Hi Laurie, we met a couple of years ago at a London event with Not Dressed as Lamb and I have been following your progress.
I wanted to say that I ordered the Van Dal suede mules (in navy) when they had free p&p and am delighted! I’m now a convert to the brand! Thank you!
