Now each week I link up with a very special blogger. Catherine from Not Dressed As Lamb suggested a wedding dress challenge for this week. Now I was notified about this a while back, and I so wish I had acted on it sooner!
I was really excited about this challenge as I love my dress! Little did I know it was going to rain god knows how many days and be as dark as night!
My daughter came with me to help choose my dress (second time married) She picked this one out and I didn’t even want to try it on! But when I did I loved it and was pleased to have an excuse to wear again.
I was married again five years ago at Ealing Town Hall on a very hot sunny August day
A truly beautiful place, and if your ever in Ealing take a wander in there for a look
There are many different ceremony rooms and they are all gorgeous
This was taken on the day at the top of the sweeping staircase, and yes I was a little heavier then!
I still have the Chrystal sandals I bought for the day, I wear them from time to time.
At the reception our tables were full of all the decorations, My mothering law did all the little bits and pieces and I was taken by the little turtle doves scattered over the tables. I put two in my purse to give to my other half to give later as a keep sake
Once all the celebrations were over, and we were on way to our honeymoon suite, I took out the two turtle doves……
Me “Here I got you a little keepsake”
reply “That’s funny I got you one too”
Out of the suit pocket came two more turtle doves!!
That was just such a moment for me in that car! one I will never forget…….
Just for fun I will add this blooper pick of me trying to look all demure in howling winds, freezing cold!!
