THINK PINK

Hi Everyone
We are nearly at the end of January already, in the blink of an eye that’s one month gone already. I have noticed the mornings getting lighter and I love it when it doesn’t get dark so early…….

Taking part in this weeks #iwillwearwhatilike challenge, It’s Pantone’s colour of the year, Rose quartz or Serenity Blue and I am loving both……

When it came to posting for the challenge I realised I don’t have a lot of pink anything or blue for that matter. Only a few summer pieces, and it’s way too cold to be wearing next to nothing!
But I did remember that I had these trousers tucked away, and it might just be possible to find something to go with them.

I teamed the trousers with one of my favourite pink shirts (I have these shirts in so many colours) that is adaptable to wear with almost anything in my wardrobe.
The Embellished tank is an old sweatshirt, I didn’t like the sleeves so I just chopped them off! I have worn it so much more this way!

I have held back on these trousers, but looking at the trend forecast I think they will be making quite a few appearance’s this year! Everywhere you look there are shades of pinks. Get ready Ladies!

Shirt = Primark  Trousers=Primark  Sweatshirt= Next

One trend I’m not sure about, Socks And Sandals!!!! I really didn’t know what to pair this outfit with regarding shoes. I only have Black or Brown or dark colours, and any of these just didn’t look right. So the light bulb moment came about this new trend I’m reading about everywhere. I just don’t think it’s me!

Sandals = Next

    That sweatshirt idea is bad*ss and something that I, a devotee of the sweatshirt, am absolutely going to try. Also, I'm seriously coveting those shoes right now!

    I love the soft pink color and wear it often. The sandals are cute, the socks not so much:)

    Typos….try again…It a great colour palette, for your colouring and hair, Laurie.
    Pretty tones.
    I laughed when I read you had chopped the sleeves off your jumper….that is the kind of think I do too!

    Love the pretty shades of pink for you! I tried wearing socks with sandals once and did not like the look for me at all. It's a tough one to pull. Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you next week. Have a great weekend!

    Thank you Regina. I hated the sleeves on it so I had nothing to lose cutting them off! It was either that or it went in the bin.

    Laurie, I am loving your Rose Quartz and Serenity outfit. What I am really loving is what you did to that sweatshirt! Gorgeous!

    I am so happy to have found your blog. I don't think I even have to much of these colors. And I agree about the socks and heeled sandals. A lot of knitters wear their hand knitted socks with Berks but I don't even really like that. These colors are lovey on you. Kudos for cutting off the sleeves of the sweat. That sort of sounds like me. Terri Gardner

    Would never have known the arms were cut off – what a great idea for getting more wear out of an item. Shows how not being afraid to alter something actually gets you more!
    Um… I agree with you about the sandals and socks combo – I think only a few folk can pull that off – but kudos for trying!
    Rose quartz looks lovely on you and the cut of the trousers is so flattering on you.

      I agree! the socks were on for a giggle.I'm always trying to find new ways to style something I'm bored with. Sometimes it pays off, if not it goes in the bin!

    These colours look beautiful on you. I am very happy with the colours of the year. Coincidentally I was wearing a lot of pale pink and pale blue before the announcement.

    Such a chic look today. I love those trousers and can hardly believe that they're from Primark – they look so expensive. And that socks thing is cute on you, and the shoes are perfect to carry this off. Lovely post x

      Thank you Anna,sometimes Primark have the occasional gem.I bought the first pair, wore them and went back to buy three more pairs in different colours. I have worn them all a lot.

    Good job with the pantone colours. The pink looks great on you. I love that you did the sock/heel thing. I want to do it but I either forget when I drag the heels out, or feel silly. And we all know that nothing spoils an outfit as much as the way we think about it-if you feel you rock it, you do; if you don't, same. You're rocking it!

    Thanks so much for sharing.
