Many of you that are regular readers will already know how partial I am to a silk scarf. Or two or god knows how many of these little accessories I have hanging in the wardrobe!
Accessories are so important for finishing off a look and For me, these squares of silk are the perfect accessory
You can do so much with a silk scarf, wear it many ways and it’s quite surprising how warm they can be plus how good it feels on your skin.
They will never date and can add that little extra help to your outfit and sometimes completely change the whole look
Let me introduce you to Rampley & Co Accessories
When Rampley & Co contacted me, I have to admit that I hadn’t heard of this brand before, so of course, I got straight online for a nose to see what they were all about.
The gorgeous pieces of silk stared back at me. The women’s scarves are so colourful and they are just like pieces of art. I was very impressed with the men’s collection of pocket squares and matching ties. So if you want to treat the man in your life to some super smart silk accessories for workwear or a special event like a wedding then do take a look via the link at the end of this post.
I’ve chosen to wear my “Early Life Of Achilles” silk scarf like this: tied corner to corner around my neck and tucked into my trousers, each corner at the back. I wear my scarves like this a lot and as you can see it creates a nice cowl neck at the front. I have a thick white long-sleeved T-shirt underneath.
It’s very windy! Maybe I should have put it on my head! (Big hair!)
But getting back to the scarf. I love the colours, rust, cream, blue and brown tones, perfect for any time of year. This one that I’ve chosen is from the V&A Collection but do have a browse at the other collections available. I was really impressed with the Fine Art collection but they were sold out.
In fact on looking this one that I’m wearing is sold out at the moment! At £195.00 I would not be able to afford such luxury, but these silks are obviously very popular! There are neckties available though, I like the idea of those too.
It was also interesting to read on the website, about the history of the silk scarf and how it came to be one of the most popular accessories for women. You can read it here
The scarves are all 100% silk and the edges are hand rolled. Made in the Uk and delivered worldwide free of charge.
How do you wear yours?
I’ve pulled the scarf out here and draped it over my shoulders. Wear a scarf like this over a plain dress and you can transform the look. It’s even a trend now to have them wrapped around your handbag strap. Have you seen it?
I often tie mine to one handle of my shopper bag and cover everything on show. It just keeps everything more private and looks stylish. I wore my Red silk one in this post, tied around my neck and you can see without it the whole look would have been so plain.
I’m interested to know of any other ideas you may have, how you wear yours? Do share!
I’m wearing my new blazer and trousers with the scarf. This has been one of my January purchases as are the trousers. I got the trousers from Zara just as they went into sale and I’m really pleased with them. The blazer is from Micheal Kors and there’s a post coming up about that and where I got that from.
I’m heading back inside now to rearrange myself. And warm up! I’m having a nice cup of tea at the local Hilton hotel just down the road to my home.
Thank you To Rampley & Co for this amazing gift. I know this will be worn so much.

I do love a scarf but I’m not so good at wearing them as I’m a bit of a fiddler and somehow they never stay where they’re supposed to!! I’d happily buy lots though, just to find the best behaved one – thanks for sharing with #PoCoLo
Oh I agree Laurie, a scarf really lifts an outfit and particularly a silk one. I will be checking this brand out. Thanks for sharing as always. #TweensTeensBeyond

No one wears trousers or neutrals like you do Laurie. Tres chic head to toe. Fabulous blazer and scarf but I truly love the sharp khaki-colored suede pants. Looking like a million bucks!
I’m a huge fan of scarves, and this one is beautiful! I’ve gotten into the little neckerchiefs lately, and I feel they will be a summer staple!
The scarf is absolutely beautiful, I love the colours #pocolo
I love your scarf Laurie. The detailing is absolutely gorgeous and it looks so soft and stylish! x
A silk scarf can really elevate an outfit from drab to elegant. These scarves are beautiful but sadly out of my price range #pocolo

What a beautiful scarf! It’s definitely a work of art!
It’s beautiful and really finishes off the outfit!! Little pricey thought but can see why they are popular. Thanks for sharing with #bloggersbest x
I love them too Laurie. They are wonderful to add colour, cover your neck and lift up the outfit. Yours is very lovely, with soft print, it is not overpowering, gentle on the skin and greatly complements the outfit

Thank you, Claire. Silk has to be one of my favourite fabrics! Once you wear it you’re hooked! xx
The look is classy and elegant. I have trouble with the larger scarves. They make me feel so bulky in the front. On you, this size scarf looks beautiful.

I just love scarves which, knowing me, I pick up at the charity shops! This silk one is an absolute beauty and it’s got a vintage look to it. An excellent choice, Laurie! xxx

Thank you Ann. I always admire what you manage to find! xx
I love this elegant scarf!! It’ll bring class to every outfit. Styled so beautifully as always Laurie xx
Gulp! I bought my two Tie Rack silk scarves, 20 years ago, they’ve served me well and are still going strong. Hand washed, silk scarves can last a lifetime and never seem to show their age. I love the hang and the feel of a silk scarf.
Companies are wise to chose you, Laurie, you are showcasing this scarf superbly and you look so smart and pretty. You’re spot on with your outfit choice. Great ideas with the ways of wearing a square. I’ve been a fan of the bag tie because it gives an easy option whilst I’m out and about, and I like my options!
Hugs, x.

Thank you so much, Mary, for your comment. You are too kind! I do actually have a couple of silk scarves handed down to me from mum and I love them too.
I’m hoping my daughter will love this one when I pass it down to her xx
I have just one silk, Gucci. I wear rayon that has a similar feel more often. Today I’m wearing one twice wrapped around my neck then tied at the front.
PS. You made an excellent choice there. Lovely cream colour and it suits you well.
