Vincent Longo Cosmetics For A Softer Blush

Having a mature skin can sometimes bring problems with cosmetics. We have to be a little more careful…

So when I was asked to review this new cream to powder blusher I jumped at the chance. The new Vincent Longo range has launched from America to the UK and is available at Cult Beauty

When choosing a blusher or bronzer for that matter, there are points to consider when choosing for a more mature skin.

1)
Don’t go over the top with anything too sparkly . I tend to find the more matt the better.
2)
A foundation with a hint of moisturiser will set and sit far better on a mature skin than a powdery       matt chalky foundation. This will help your blusher sit on your face far better and not sink into           your wrinkles.
3)
Cream or Matt? I use both , I find cream gives a far more dewy finish and it’s not dry looking.

This  blusher from Vincent Longo is a cream-to-powder form .The colour I have chosen is called Terra Dew. I apply it with my fingertips  Just onto the apple of my cheeks to keep it natural looking and it feels and looks creamy. Whilst blending it reverts to a more dryer finish so it doesn’t look oily. I’m converted!

The blusher contains botanical seaweed extract and Vitamin E Both of which are hydrating ingredients. I was dubious about ordering a colour on-line but it has turned out true to colour which I was really pleased about .

My Amerian readers, you may already know of the Longo brand. It is available to you here

I have to say, looking at the website, I’m really impressed. I found latex free eyelash adhesive! It’s here I have wanted to try some natural looking false eyelashes, but have not been able to due to my Latex allergy. Bonus ! Sadly I will have to ship this from America though. The whole range looks pretty impressive, especially their eyeshadows and makeup brushes. If the blusher is anything to go by, I will definitely be interested in more.

Do take a look at the brand and let me know what you think.

Laurie, I've seen this brand at Sephora. I tried a tester and loved the feel of it. I seems like it would float over fine lines. xo

I prefer cream blushers because I like a more dewy finish. I'm using a kiko blush stick at the moment but I recently tried one from Clinique and really liked that too. I usually apply a little powder bronzer on top for a bit of warmth. The shade you chose is really nice.

I think cream sits better on a mature skin compared to powder. Really pleased with this Jodie x

    Hi Laurie
I noticed this brand from Sephora, but never tried it. Enjoyed reading your review, as I use cream blush, and this looks like the perfect shade. With fair skin, it looks like it would still be subtle. I like the Hydro stick, as it reminds me of the NARS blush stick I use.
    Have a great week!

Thank you Jess. This blush can be heavy or light. It blends really easy. Great for blogger photos when you know it has to be a little heavier to be seen x

Always good to find new American brands. I've heard of Vincent Longo from the US magazines I sometimes read. Will check it out – I love the Cult Beauty site.
