Have You Tried This

Have you tried this yet?

I discovered Rimmel’s Super Gel Nail Varnish a while back. Cheap at £5.99 but I didn’t realise that you were supposed to use step 1-2-and three.
But I thought to myself nothing to loose and applied it just like any other varnish. All Ok.
I didn’t use a top coat to start with. I expected to come away with the washing up!But it didn’t! It only lasted a couple of day’s, so I re-applied and this time used my Seche Vite top coat.
If you haven’t used this before, I totally recommend it! Anyway, I used this as a top coat, and now the varnish stays on for at least five days.
Even with washing up and hairdressing. If you’re not sure where to buy Seche Vite, you can find it here I still haven’t tried the other steps to make the Gel varnish long lasting. I’m quite happy with it with this top coat!

Now getting onto this Jacket…

Remember a few weeks back when I showed you the Grey Bonmarche Jacket? If you missed the post it’s here

I have been so pleased with the jacket, and I know it sold out really quickly but they have just launched it in this Taupe colour here Do you like it as much as the grey? What would you wear with it? I can think of loads of thing to wear it with already!

And now some news for my blogger friends.

A new link up will start next Thursday at 3pm I hope you will join me! As you all know I only post a couple of times a week, so I hope I am going to be able to stick to my schedule. On this link up day, I may only add a few snippets rather than a full post, subject to available time. But it will be great to see you all xx

Hope you all have a great weekend ahead Xo Laurie

I'm not really one for nail polish but I do try occasionally. I'll have to check this out, if it lasts a while that's great! Great jacket too!
    Thanks for linking to #pocolo

Congrats on the linkup! Excited to see all the entries, I don't write much about fashion, but I love reading about it. I also promoted your linkup in my new post about Blogging Tribes, hoping to lead some bloggers to your site as I love it so much.

I have to tell you that the bracelet you are wearing in the nail polish shot is gorgeous! I would love to have one of my very own, do you remember where you got it?

It's amazing what a good top coat can do isn't it? I rarely wear nail varnish at the moment as my nails seem to be at all different lengths and just as I start to think about colours, one breaks again! Thanks for sharing with #PoCoLo and wishing you well with the new linky. I'll join in when I can but don't do a lot of style posts x

    • February 10, 2017 / 11:59 pm

Trust me. Use the nail colour and the Seche Vite top coat for the same effect as the 123 step Rimmel are suggesting! x

I haven't heard of the for the nails. The top coat looks great and I'm glad it stays on so long when using the varnish.

Thank you Keri. It saves on having to use step one and three of the treatment with no difference. So that's a lot cheaper too! Thanks for stopping by x

Very nice coat. Grey isn't my favorite color. I would choose the light brown insted. Thank you for linking up with My Red Carpet. o)

LOoks glam, will have to try this. Though these days my nails grow not further than my fingertips, must be an age thing. Any ideas on how to get them to grow without snapping and tearing?

Doing my nails is such a luxury these days, I find it takes too long and I always dink or smudge my nails as I don't give long enough for drying. Great idea to do your own linky Laurie! #sharethejoy

Oh please do Miriam. You won't look back. There's no special soak off with this. It's just removed with normal nail varnish remover. Thank you for stopping by xx

I'm always looking for nail varnish that lasts, I have Seche vite top coat somewhere, I will treat myself to some of this Rimmel polish and give it a whirl. Was there any colour you found lasted better than the others? Thanks for the recommendation.

  16. February 4, 2017 / 11:04 pm

Beautiful nail polish it is amazing I never tried that brand before even though I have heard of it. And congrats on hosting a linkup!

  17. February 4, 2017 / 6:22 pm

I haven't tried this one yet. I have used Bourjois La Laque which is similar. I had a Calgel manicure at the Fluorescent PR Press Day which is lasting really well. I'd had a break from gel nails for about 10 months after six years of a buff off only hard gel. My nails were wrecked but slowly getting better. I'm not sure if I'll keep up the Calgel. It's been fun rediscovering nail polish again. Congrats on the link up… count me in πŸ™‚

I have always wondered if there is any staying power in these nail varnishes. I much prefer long lasting varnishes than the Shellac which always weakens my nails I find. Thanks for sharing Laurie and good luck with the new linkie. #PoCoLo

  20. February 4, 2017 / 9:21 am

I`ve tried this top coat! It`s amazing how intact your color remains!

  21. February 3, 2017 / 11:21 pm

I'm terrible at keeping up with my nails, Laurie.
It's funny because I thought when I retired, it'd be so nice to paint my nails again….but with all the typing, it doesn't last!!
