Slendertone Face – A Super Face Lifting Gadget

This is one review that I have waited patiently to tell you about. I’ve had this “super Duper” little machine under wraps for around seven weeks. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen the first photo and it caused a bit of a stir.

So I know that a fair few of you are interested in my new little friend. Here’s the story.

So what is Slendertone Face?

This lightweight little gadget looks just like a set of headphones, only it wraps around your face from the back of your head. Once turned on, it sends Electrical Muscle Stimulation to the muscles of the face. I used to have one of these machines for the body, much larger in size obviously with pads that you strapped to your body. The machine sends the signal to clench the muscle as if you were lifting a heavy weight. Basically exercising whilst laying down letting the machine do the hard work for you.
This is the same concept on a smaller scale.

Inside the box is everything to get you started. The headset, the controller, and special sticky gel pads that help the conduction. Some of you may have read my Two Of The Best Non Invasive Salon Beauty Treatments Well this is very similar to the first treatment I talk about in that post. It states in the book that 98% of trialed users noticed a significant difference.

The boxed set came with six packs of gel pads. These are really sticky and have to be handled with care! They are covered with protective covers and I replaced these in between use. It does state in the book that the pads last between 6-10 sessions, but I have only just started on my second pack. I have kept it in the box in between so as to not get any dust or anything on the pads. They are also available to buy after too.

So, once the pads are in place (if you have long hair it will need to be tied up) You place it in the position that’s stated in the instruction manual. Turn the machine on and there’s a left and a right-hand side button. Then you turn it up to the desired strength of muscle spasm.

I started at 27 and I’m now comfortable at 37. It does actually go up to a 100. So what does it feel like?

The machine as I say is very lightweight and comfortable. I’ve been using it in the mornings on a clean face before I put any moisturiser on. I stick the control in my dressing gown pocket and carry on with my blogging or ironing!

It feels like a buzzing pulse on your face and if you turn it up too high your eye’s start twitching!
I move it around a little if this happens in case the pads are not resting on the right muscle. Since I have gone up a notch in the power it delivers to those muscles, I do get a little lip twitching going on, but it’s not at all painful. The OH has a good laugh and believe me, I don’t look very pretty when the machine is doing it’s job! The whole exercise last’s 30 minutes and recommended that only 20 minutes are used for the first few sessions. So it doesn’t take long at all.

But a good job it is doing! The first couple of weeks I didn’t notice that much difference. I was a little wary of turning it up too high. But I am definitely noticing a change in the Jawline of my face.I use the machine five days a week as recommended but I have had a couple of days break in between.

RESULTS

I can definitely see an improvement. I’m aware that this needs to be used continuously to keep achieving results though. And that’s not a problem when you weigh up the pro’s and con’s (the only con being time!)  and the good results I’m getting from this handy little gadget.

There is a difference in how deep the folds of the wrinkles were near the chin. I hate doing close ups!

My only regret about this machine is that it’s not like an octopus. I could get those eye’s lifted then too! I haven’t noticed a lot of change there. But my jawline is what was concerning me most and it’s working!

Laurie, I think you look amazing any way but was intrigued by this. It's definitely all about the jawline for me too. My husband treated me to a Perfector facial just before my 50th birthday party which is all about lifting too and I have to say it was amazing but at £78 a session I don't think I could afford many of those. Maybe this is the answer. Thanks for linking. #TweensTeensBeyond

Thank you Jo. This treatment that you had sounds like the Caci facisl I'm always banging on about! It really is amazing Iv'e had it done. Expensive as you say, and that would have to be repeated every six months! That's why I'm so happy with this. Not such a vast effect straight away but I'm starting to see a difference for sure! x

That really sounds like a great little machine! I am a little bit (really, I should get rid of 5! extra kilograms) chubby at the moment but after I manage to get smaller, I will have these chin-line problems too. As I wouldn't have those now :/…
