Supporting Charities – A weekly Edit Of Life And Style

What’s happening with the weather? I had so much planned. This post should be called the windswept post! I did manage to get one sunny shot, I wanted to share this gorgeous cushion on behalf of one of my favourite charities  Marie Curie. Designed by a brand called One Nine Eight Five. Sitting in the garden with my morning cuppa.

It’s my favourite part of the day, sitting in the garden first thing. I’m lucky the sun hits my garden as soon as it rises and stays there most of the day.

How gorgeous is the cushion though? It was gifted to me by Marie Curie. I love how fresh and vibrant it is. Let me give you some info about this brand that is supporting and collaborating with Marie Curie

” Established in 2016, One Nine Eight Five is a British homeware brand that specialises in print and interior textiles. The brand offers seasonal collections that are inspired by film, art and fashion. Recognised for its innovative prints, colour combinations and dedication to creating British manufactured goods, One Nine Eight Five uses ethically sourced materials wherever possible”

Have you heard of the One Nine Eight Five brand? I’m not too hot on interior designers but this cushion is really plush. Looking into the brands Instagram, feed, top magazines and celebrities are supporting Marie Curie via this well-designed cushion over there.

This bright coloured cushion with the daffodil, Marie Curie’s emblem is green velvet on the reverse side. £40.00 goes to the charity for each cushion sold.  One Eight Nine Five’s website is well worth a look too. There are some beautiful items. The range can also be found at Selfridges, Heals and Amara. There is more stockist online.

It feels good to support the Marie Curie charity and other charities for that matter. It makes blogging even more worthwhile.

Change in the weather! Here’s my most worn

After me moaning about the wind last week and everyone thinking the hair still looked great, here’s a really bad one!  Out on a fun day at a local pub with the grandchildren, I wanted to add this windswept me pic because I love the outfit so much. This photo was actually taken by one of the grandchildren!

The trousers and shirt are great together but I’m getting good wear out of mixing these classic pieces so I wanted to share. The bag was an absolute bargain from Primark. I can’t find it online in white but a lovely coral colour. It’s most probably still in store in white.

The Earrings are fromlast weeks post. Love them. Not too oversised, just right.

I never thought I’d get so much wear out of this rainproof coat!

A shopping trip to Ikea. The heavens have certainly opened here in the Uk the last few days! I’ve worn this Regatta coat so much because it’s lightweight for how warm it still is yet waterproof and it has a hood so I don’t get caught out. I feel I didn’t give as good a review as I should have done, but boy have I worn this coat a lot.

I may have taken cropped jean a little to far!

I cut these old jeans from Bonmarche to 3 quarter length. Petite fit cropped jeans are too short and regular just about hit my ankles. I’m still not sure about the length. Maybe I cut slightly too much off?  You won’t be seeing them again! A fashion thumbs down.

The T-shirt however I wear a lot. It’s the only large slogan T I own from another of my favourite charities Save The Children.

I was really impressed with this fillable atomiser from The Fragrance shop. A handy little gadget. See how it works via the film I’m adding to my stories below. You may like to hit the subscribe button while you’re there (mwah!)

The weather’s been misbehaving here in Belgium too, Laurie. We did have a mini heatwave the weekend before last, and while overall our temperatures seem to be warmer than those in the UK, we’ve had lots of rain, wind and thunderstorms. You’re looking gorgeous and relaxed in that first picture, and that funky cushion is just fabulous! xxx

Your weather sounds the same as ours Ann. I hope you don’t have the monsoon that we had yesterday coming to you! Glad you like the cushion. It’s beautiful xx

What a beautiful cushion, I love the colours! The weather has been so unpredictable hasn’t it? It’s been playing havoc with my plans for outfit photos. Those big sunglasses look great on you, very glam! Thanks for linking up!

I love brands that have such a social behaviour! Charities can use any help they get! Your favorite outfit is very classy! I think that look is really Laurie. And the cropped jeans……..not so……..but you noticed that yourself too!😂😂😂

I like the jeans length Laurie, and I agree with Ashley’s suggestion. Thanks for sharing all these pieces. Just to say when the Wallis mules turned up they were too small! Returned them only to find they were sold out in the bigger size. Sitting here I thought I’d try again, and they’re back in stock – I’ll order again. Love them. x Jacqui Mummabstylish
