London Fashion Week Part One

Hi Everyone
This was my first attempt at London Fashion Week. So much to report, it will go into two post’s. Part one for my daytime events and part two for the evening.

Firstly I was invited to Soho House to view Hema Kaul….

Hema’s collection was a mix of beautiful lace and organza, with colour blocking and origami like structure

The intricate lace and hue’s of blue made these outfits beautiful

We were treated to tea/coffee croissants/pain Au chocolate and platters of fruit. The surroundings were really cosy, and it was good to meet other bloggers at the event too. Actually, this picture was taken from a blogger I met at the event. Helena of Beaut_Chic writes a fashion and beauty blog, find her HERE

Most of Hema’s outfits were very sheer, I felt the fabric and 3d structure made these designs that would be classic, very edgy and on trend.

Loved the pleated effect here on the Jumpsuit and dress, A gorgeous aubergine colour and made in a fabric that just floated…..

You can find out more about Hema Kaul by heading to her website HERE
So that was my fun filled Saturday morning. I had a little walk around Soho, the weather was lovely and I love that city buzz.

Monday morning came, the weather was horrendous! I was needing to catch two buses to the Kings Road, and boy did I get a soaking!
I say I needed to catch two buses, the traffic was at a standstill, I got on the first bus, got down the road, then the message came out the loud speaker “Sorry this bus is terminating”!!! Well this happened twice more, each time having to get off and onto another bus, getting soaked in between! So what should have taken my journey less than an hour, turned into two!

Scoop London is a fashion extravaganza and well worth getting wet for! Three floors of beautiful new designers to discover, held in the Saatchi Gallery. I love to find new labels, not so well known, that I can recommend to my readers for perusal, and through time I will be featuring my favourites in later post’s……

Some beautiful designs on the Missoni Ponchos stand. Take a look at her designs HERE

Three Dots, had some beautiful colours and laser cut pieces HERE

Nadia Minkoff had the most sumptuous handbags in gorgeous colours

Purses and clutch bags to match, this was one of my favourites of the day HERE

Beautiful colours for next summer, I love this baby blue shade, and also a growing fan of anything laser cut

Loved the style and cut of the blouse’s displayed on the Sophie Cameron Davies stand. Take a look at her brand HERE

There were so many stands with new trend accessories, this in my opinion was the best there. Sweety Jane HERE had some fabulous pieces on offer

We were given a disc to receive a free glass of bubbly, that went down a treat!

When I left the gallery I took advantage of the little shopping mews just outside the gallery, I squealed like a little girl when I saw this Mary Quant shop.

Felt old Knowing I knew this brand from first time around! great to see it back to life and lovely to see though

And then time for a cuppa! and than goodness the rain had stopped! If your ever in London, I recommend a visit to the Saatchi Gallery, there is always something going on there, so worth checking out. Plus all the little surrounding shops.

So that was part one of my London fashion week. I can tell you my legs felt like they were going to drop off! I can tell you it was such a great couple of days.
See you next week for my post on the evening catwalk show
