Is this the most copied classic look ? Worn over and over by women of all ages……
The classic Navy blazer White trousers and Navy & White Breton
White Slim Legged Trousers HERE
I’m really happy with these white slim legged trousers that I found. good quality material, and no visible panty lines. The length of these are great for my 5’2 height, on someone taller they would be the ankle grazers that they are supposed to be…….
Really comfy to wear and don’t crease badly. I so prefer cotton sateen to linen for this reason !
The best thing to do when wearing any kind of white trousers or jeans is to wear the right underwear I am wearing THESE underneath the trousers and they don’t show at all. A good Nude T shirt bra and briefs are a wise investment
But getting back to the outfit, I teamed this look with my White Jane Shilton bag and last years Navy buckle block heels. The blazer is a godsend at this time of year when it’s not too cold . I wear it with jeans, dresses, it goes with pretty much anything and I class this as an essential classic to have in your capsule wardrobe.
Little photo bombers !
All three of these classic items can be mixed with so many other things. This Breton is a bargain find from Primark I always stock up on their long sleeve T shirts. The only colour I don’t have is a red and white stripe. You can see my other colour blue Breton from a previous post HERE
So some tips on buying white trousers
1) When shopping for white trousers, put your hand inside to see how see through they might be..
2) White trousers are not forgiving on the figure, try a size up
3) Invest in some good nude seamfree underwear ( it’s good to be wearing these when shopping)
4) Material. There is no way I would buy Dry Clean Only white trousers !
I’d love to hear if you have any other tips to share regarding buying white trousers.

That is a lovely classic look. Buying white trousers/jeans is a nightmare as I find even the thicker ones seem to be see-through in sunlight.

Love this look, and a great read too, I love my white jeans, and I wear them often in the summer. I just need a blue jacket I think, this will be on my want list!..Jacqui

Thank you, Laurie, for pointing out the importance of the correct undergarment with white pants (and checking the thinness of the material when shopping). I can't tell you how many times I see white skirts, shorts, and pants with flowered or striped bloomers underneath because the wearer didn't think about the see-through factor. I love nude boyshorts for this very reason. Those pants (and the entire) outfit are working for you, doll! That is a very chic and classic outfit. Thank you so much for sharing with #UpsyDaisyLinkup!
Thank you Regina. You know what's underneath is just as important right ? x

That is a lovely classic look. Buying white trousers/jeans is a nightmare as I find even the thicker ones seem to be see-through in sunlight. I sometimes cut out most of the front pockets and make them into mini pockets so they don't show through – if that makes sense! Great pictures – nice to be out in the sunshine. x
Astrid ! Great minds think alike! I do this with pockets too.
I meant I've gained weight… Not "got bigger" 🙂
Thank you Heli. The seam free shorts are great under so many items. They give a really smooth finish.
Looking good, careless but chic! Classic looks are always worth copying.
I also love white trousers but can't use mine because I've got bigger :(..
Those seam free shaper shorts seem perfect choice for underwear.
I really like this look refined in every detail

Thank you, of course I will be popping over to yours
What a great outfit! So classic and perfect for so many out and about events. I think your recommendations for buying white pants are all good. Thicker material is better as there is less show through that way. I really like something that is almost like a denim, the only problem with that is it can get warm in the summer when the temps are up. Then I would go to a capri. Thanks for posting – Amy

Thank you Amy.That's what I like about these trousers, there bang in the middle. Sort of not denim, nor trouser fine. Thanks for stopping by x

Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! You look comfortable and stylish. Ready for Spring. Great tip about putting your hand inside to see how transparent they are. I do that for leggings too.
Love the photo bombers!
And another lady who's had a blog makeover from pipdig! Looking good. What template is this Laurie, can I ask? I'm in the process of overhauling my blog and am deciding on a template from them.
