Hybrid – A Jacket That Can Be Worn Two Different Ways

What about if you can style a jacket two way’s ? …..

I have long been a fan of the Hybrid brand. Have you heard of it? Famous for their beautiful dress designs, they are often seen on the ladies that greet us in the mornings when we switch our TV’s on to watch the news on GMB
I often try and guess which brands the news presenters are wearing or the weather girls for that matter.

I was lucky enough to choose an item or two for a review.

I chose this Jacket and a gorgeous dress which hasn’t arrived yet. It’s not a problem, this jacket could be worn with so many things that come to mind. So you might get to see this jacket twice, but next time with a dress.

I have chosen to pair the jacket today with my wide-legged cream trousers, a plain long sleeved black T-shirt (I have plain long-sleeved T-shirts in an abundance of colours. Easy to pair with anything) And of course high heels. Black court shoes here which I treated myself to last week.

I really like the colourways in the jacket, they give a forgiving softness to the black which would otherwise have not suited me at all.

It’s quite a loose fitting jacket, quite boxy and easy to wear. I’m thinking about dressing it down with maybe a pink turtle neck jumper and my comfy black jeans

But what’s really special about this jacket is that you can undo that zip all the way round and transform it into a little Bolero. Nifty huh!

So here you can see how the jacket looks Bolero style. I don’t think it matches well with the trousers, but with a dress this will go perfectly .

A jacket at waist length will give the illusion of longer legs and a more nipped in waistline too. The clutch bag was a bargain find at TK Maxx. I’ve had this bag a few years now, and have used it so much. If I can’t find the right colour to match an outfit, this Bronze colour clutch always manages to make it work .

Hybrid also has boleros in a plain fabric here Perfect to go with party dresses over Christmas. Excuse the rear view here, but I’m just showing you the shape of the jacket!

Do take a look at the Hybrid site. There is a fab sale on at the moment with some great bargain dresses.

What a cool brand, Laurie! This jacket you're wearing is so lovely in those gorgeous colors. I think of autumn when I look at how you've styled it here, but I can see how you might even pair the jacket up with other colors for spring and summer as well! I look forward to seeing the dress and this jacket paired up together!

    Looks great on you.
Colour really suits you. I'd be worried if I unzipped it all that I'd not be able to get it back together again , or lose the bottom bit !

Fabulous jacket! It looks great worn both ways. I have a Zara jacket that can be unzipped like that but it's already so short it wouldn't look right if I did remove the bottom – it would only just cover my boobs!

What a clever design! I've not come across this brand before Laurie, nor this nifty trick to transform from one length to the other. I like both, and can see the value in getting two for one here. The pattern is good as you say to keep you away from a totally black tone which can be quite draining on our skin tone. Lovely post x

Never heard of it Laurie. So thanks for the review. The choice of black with flowers works really well for the festive spirit. I can see that. And the flowers compliment your impeccably coiffed hair <3 Well done. And wishing you a lovely weekend from Frankfurt. Sabina

That really is quite a great feature. There have been many a times that I need a jacket or caridgan for my dress, but they are too long! Of course I have some shorter ones in my closet, but think of how great this would be for traveling?
It's absolutely gorgeous with the white trousers!!
